2024 Year
|
30.07.2025 -
4 days ago, I participated in the tourney in the convention dedicated to
retro games. And that game was "Unreal Tournament 99". That was awesome
and it had a huge crowd to see people queuing. And that was incredible
view to see people queuing. Last year, when I participated in the
tourney for "Quake 3 Arena". It only had small amount of people queuing
for game last year . But in "Unreal Tournament 99", I won 2nd place. Do
I feel satisfied? Absolutely. Minor complaint is that mouses for these
old PCs were annoying. Couldn't aim well, sometimes couldn't track to
the enemy while I was playing and I did my best to adapt from it. Still,
winning is still enough to feel proud. I don't feel motivated to tinker
to my site. Even I won for the tourney. Man, I really, really want to do
something to my page, but I don't have any motivation to edit my page. I
just hope it kicks in and force me to do stuff. 2.08.2025 - So I gathered the old webgraphics and clipart pics from Internet Archive and I hoarded them to use them for my experiments on my webpage. These materials should come in handy, when I'm trying to see how I can add up to my webpage or perhaps to see if it'll fit in. I originally planned to see if I can find on the Google or Yandex these old webgraphics materials to my plans and none of them are showing up. It's somewhat about just business services or like to hire. Like, why do I need that? And as well it's just about articles related to how to check old sites. Thank you, Internet Archive for keeping these old stuff. I wish I could donate, so you could last more longer. Also, there's one program I saw "Corel Gallery" and it's from 1999. It looks like it's a big catalog list to see a lot of stuff you want to download/install. Like cliparts. And I was trying to load it up on my laptop. Outcome? It's not compatible to this OS and it's 16 bit. Bummer. But, fortunately it had HTML index as catalog to see what I can get and try out to see if it's looking good enough or not. And some minor problem, is that I'll have to dig in those files with just numbers and guess what are these for. Wonder if there's emulator to launch old programs from 90s on modern OS... Still, I've gathered enough and this will be fun experiment to try out theses pictures! 13.08.2025 - Back to my hometown. And the summer is getting close to the end and I'm fine with that. I yesterday delivered order, to restore my confidence after I've been not working for 2 in a half month. And I did it. Plus, I've gathered some of the old stuff to my portable SSD. And I may will plan to get better sized SSD with somewhere 10 TB. Build myself a library and use it incase in the emergency. And the list of my games I want to add in my library is almost done. I read in news, that apparently that internet is going to be heavily surveillanced due to demanding people show their face and other things to see you're "human". Kinda makes me feel like that government from various countries, trying to copy things how Russia does. Not surprising which is going to be annoyance with this crap. My task right now is to work and see if I can save up, so I could afford a cottage to live completely alone. I'm tired of living in the apartments which is already not making me relaxed. Hopefully I'll make it through. 21.08.2025 - Phew. I yesterday created a new badge for my clan. And I'm thinking to "maybe" create a seperated page. Honestly, those old sites are my inspiration that my site is going well. I have to give credit for Internet Archive for preserving these sites and their hard work to keep up the old stuff. Imagine, how would be terrifying if the people were brainwashed to ignore nostalgia if we couldn't preserve them. That would be horrifying view to see not remembering past and potentially people would be brainwashed with those modern stuff and blinded from it. It's just not always good idea to keep people forgetting old stuff. And oh boy, this is just getting more and more frustarting, to see companies in desperation trying to take control over everything. I just read the news and makes me thinking that government of other countries would be on leash. When they'll start to take action to stop companies being entitled? I should better stock up, incase of the "internet armageddon". I'm not going to lose all of those nostalgic stuff into the abyss. I pray that internet archive will stand their ground from those entitled companies trying to take control over everything. 25.08.2025 - Alright, I've finally did it and I noticed that my own created badge weights "220 KB". That would be a bit heavy for 90s if some bloke or gal, decided to use their ancient machine like Windows 98 or Windows 95. And it MAYBE, takes a bit more time to load or watching my webpage. I'll figure out with optimization on it later. But the fact I feel proud for creating it and with some hassle in photoshop. It ended up as a success! I was trying to make my badge somewhat identical on how most of them used as "advertisement" for clans in old games and for some various sites, like for computers about to download programs for better analysis or something. The annoying part for it, is that I tried to make frames not repeating after I created them, while I moving layers. But I couldn't figure out and tried to find a way to make them stop. At least keyframes on it helped me well. Are there like some programs to make as gif that I could edit them? I feel like there is, so yeah, will explore to get one so I could edit them on seperated program. I'm gonna try to update my webpage tomorrow and find out to optimize my badge, so that it should take about 15 or 35 KB. |
